Welcome to Poldanor S.A.
Poldanor is a significant agricultural enterprise in Europe. The first farm was taken over by Poldanor in 1994. In 2009 Poldanor runs arable production on more than 15,000 ha and pig production based on a 18,000 sow herd. Pig production takes place in 30 farms. The Company has constructed and runs 4 biogas plants. Poldanor employs almost 500 people.
The Shareholders in Poldanor are Danish investors represented by the Danish investment company, Polen Invest. Moreover, Polen Invest is the main shareholder in modern meat plant Prime Food, located in Przechlewo.
Poldanor runs a complementary agricultural business, covering more than 60% of demand for feed by its own grain production and utilizing animal manure for production of biogas and production of renewable energy. The production is based on modern and rational technologies, which bring the company close to so called “precise farming”.
The Company’s turnover is app. PLN 200 m. (app. € 50 m.).
Poldanor has its roots in modern Danish agriculture. The Company focuses on environment-friendlyproduction methods.Poldanorprovides its employees with attractive working conditions and possibility of raising qualifications through trainings. The company continually invests in new technologies and yields supports to the local society.
In the period 2005-2009 Poldanor, as the only investor in Poland, has constructed four modern biogas plants utilizing swine manure and other types of biomass for production of app. 40,000 electricity per year, corresponding to app. 20,000 houses’ consumption. Poldanor’s biogas plants contribute to reduction of carbon dioxide emission with app. 150,000 t per year. When all the planned biogas plant are put into operation the reduction of carbon dioxide emission will amount to app. 500,000 t per year.
