Animal production.

The basic activity of Poldanor is pig breeding, including production of farm gilts under the contract with Pig Improvement Company (PIC) Pig Improvement Company (PIC) for sale in Poland and abroad.

Production of pigs in Poldanor is based on high-quality breeding material with very high health status, imported from England and Denmark.

The organisation of pig breeding in Poldanor is based on the three-site production concept where the production cycle is divided into three stages:

sow farms
weaner farms
finisher farms

Production of pigs in Poland (number of pigs per 100 ha) is not as concentrated as in Denmark. Generally, distances between farms are long, which considerably reduces the risk of spreading pathogenic germs.
