Poldanor S.A. is a
modern and environmentally-oriented agricultural enterprise in
the north-western Poland. The basic activity of the company is breeding
pigs, plant production and production of equipment of buildings for
livestock. Breeding takes place in 17 own farms and 5 other farms
cooperating under contracts with farmers. The area of the arable
lands in use is more than 15,000 ha.
Poldanor’s aims
include, but are not limited to:

contribution to development of local infrastructure, creation of
attractive and stable workplaces for local societies;

supporting the economical and cultural integration between Poland
and Denmark;

contribution to maintenance of clean environment by applying own
rigorous environment protection rules as well as theintroduction of
new and better methods and technologies, that can be used by other
agricultural manufacturers too;

promotion of pig breeding according to any rules of animals’
wellbeing to provide benefits for animals and consumer;
-
providing shareholders and personnel with profitable, thriving and
dynamic enterprise with a stable prospect by using modern
manufacturing technologies and management methods.
Awards and honours
In the past years
Poldanor received a number of awards and honours for its activity.
Poldanor is highly regarded
for its openness to the environment and for being actively involved in
the life of the local society. The activity of the company is determined
as attractive and of importance for those communes in which Poldanor
has its production units.
In the years 2004 -
2005 the Company received:

Special honour in the ranking of
enterprises in Słupsk area (“Silver Bear”)

Gazelle of Business (2004 and 2005)

Special award for the plant production
unit in Pawłówko in the field of “occupational health and safety” –
the first position in the province and the fourth position in
Poland; A congratulatory letter from the President of the Republic
of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, was attached to the award.

Title of “Foreign Investor of the Year 2005 in Pomerania” in the
ranking organised by Polish Information and Foreign Investment
Agency.
For a few years Poldanor has been occupying the top positions in the
ranking of the best large-area farms in Poland, prepared by the
Agricultural Property Agency, the Institute of Agricultural
Economics and Nutritional Management and the “Nowe Życie Gospodarcze”.
Presentation of inventive technologies and accomplishments of the
company in the ranking 2005 was given the title “Agriculture of the
future” by the “Nowe Życie Gospodarcze”.
