July 7. the castle in Kwidzyn held an award ceremony in the competition of the Economic and Local Government 2006 HIT Pomerania. Statuettes were awarded in six categories: manufacturing, trade and services, ecology, agriculture and food processing, organization and management, and self-management. Among the 12 winners was a company Poldanor, which alone was awarded in the category of ecology.

The project, for which the company received the title of HIT Poldanor 2006 was the creation of the first agricultural biogas plant in Poland. In 2005 Pawłówko, in the municipality Przechlewo in the Pomeranian province was launched Poland's first modern farm biogas plant using animal manure and biomass for renewable energy production. It will not only significantly increase the production of "green" energy in this part of Europe but also including to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
